"Michael Bade, of HausDesign Studio, is a fantastic architectural designer who displayed passion for his craft throughout the process of designing our home in Longboat Key. In the planning process, he listened to our desires and complimented our vision with creativity and ingenuity. Prior to designing the home, Michael made several trips to the property to assess for where the sun rises and falls in relationship to the where the house would be situated. This displayed to us that Michael is detail-oriented and cared about the subtleties that make for a great home. He was always enthusiastic, kind, on schedule with deadlines, and willing to take as much time as requested for any additional questions or thoughts we had. As we were going through the process of designing our home, he offered us extremely detailed animations of home, which really helped us understand the space and layout. Furthermore, Michael went above and beyond the role of an architectural designer as he helped us navigate through permitting to place our home as close to the ocean as possible. After Michael’s persistence, we were finally able to place the home on the property where we desired. Now that the home is near completion, we feel that the home couldn’t be more perfect for us. "My husband and I owned an older house in Sarasota, on the water in Bird Key. After 5 years or so it was time to rebuild, or at least begin the process. After some conversations with neighbors, builders, etc. we were advised to contact Michael Bade as potential architect. Which we did, and he was on it! He immediately wanted to come to our house - on site! - to talk with us, and see... how we lived, what we envisioned, how our lives might change moving forward, how the sun moved across the property, what the light was like,.. you can get the idea. We spoke with other people too, but that was the beginning, and he is still with us. Not just doing all the obvious architectural work, but even now, meeting on site with builder and interior designer, being part of the conversation in exterior paint color, wood tone for the front door, working with all the parties involved to be certain that any changes will work, yet maintain the original integrity of the design which we had so loved. He was instrumental in our major, major renovation of a 1980s "contemporary" that is now a stunning 21st century modern home. "I have worked with Michael on several projects. We worked together on re-designing custom homes in the 2 million dollar range that, as originally designed (by others), came in over the owners budget. By working with Michael in the 3D modeling system (in lieu of the standard 2D) we were able to discover design conflicts, simplify structural and mechanical systems and reduce construction cost all while increasing the design value of the homes.
